Convenient One-Stop Document, Fingerprinting & Apostille Solutions
In addition to our fingerprinting services, Fingerprinting FP has partnered with a licensed Notary Public in Brampton to provide professional notary and apostille-related document services — giving our clients the convenience of a complete one-stop solution.
Our Notary Services Include
• Certification / Notarization of Copies of Documents
• Commissioning of Oaths, Affirmations, and Solemn Declarations
What Is Certification / Notarization of Copies?
A notarized or certified copy is a photocopy of an original document that has been verified and authenticated by a Notary Public as a true and accurate copy of the original.
At Fingerprinting FP, we notarize copies of:
• Canadian and U.S. identification documents (Passport, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Driver’s License, etc.)
• Foreign passports
• Documents issued by Canadian government authorities
• Educational documents (Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees, Transcripts, etc.)
How to Obtain This Service
This service is offered by appointment only at our Brampton office.
Our team will guide you through the process and ensure your documents are properly prepared for official use.
What to Know Before Your Visit
Please review the following before your appointment:
• Bring the original document – The Notary must view the original document.
• Bring photocopies if possible – This helps speed up the process, though we can make copies for you if needed.
• Other people’s documents – You may bring documents belonging to others if you are authorized and have the originals.
• Black & white or color copies – We typically notarize black & white copies. Please confirm with the receiving authority if color copies are required.
• Multiple documents – Each document is usually notarized separately unless you specifically request otherwise and the receiving authority allows it.
• Multi-page documents – Documents are normally sealed as a set. Separate sealing can be done upon request for an additional fee.
Why Do You Need Notarized Copies?
Certified copies may be required for:
• Visa and immigration applications
• Employment verification
• Licensing and registration
• Criminal record checks
• Academic submissions
• Government or embassy submissions
Many countries also require your RCMP Criminal Record Check or ID documents to be apostilled before they can be used abroad. These documents usually must be notarized first as part of the apostille process.
